We are a group of riders built around a brand, but all motorcycle brands are welcome to ride with us.
Also known as the Knoxville Indian Motorcycle Riders Group (IMRG), the Great Smokies IMRG "relaunched" under the guidance of Lee Keller in 2019, flourished under its second president, Nick Strom, and is thriving under it's current president, Brian Helget. The GSIMRG is affiliated with Indian Motorcycle of Knoxville (IMoK) and holds monthly meetings at the dealership and supports the dealer by volunteering for events. The GSIMRG is also a charitable organization contributing to charities like Operation Homefront, Folds of Honor, and our first "community giveback" event where we will give gift cards to select families at a supermarket during the holiday season.
During the riding season, we have 2 planned rides per month, always the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. The 2nd Saturday is always our chapter meeting at IMoK which is followed by a lunch run that can be near or far. The 4th Saturday is typically our bigger ride and the meetup point(s) varies based on our direction of travel. We also have off-the-bike events, particularly during the winter months, like axe throwing, bowling, etc.
Our 2 most important rules of the road are be safe and have fun. We want each rider to ride their ride and be comfortable. Our road captains will not make a turn until the group catches up so feel no need to ride outside your comfort zone to keep up!
